A Costa Rican Wipeout Adventure

My trip/adventure/escape to the legendary/famous/renouned Costa Rican Surf Camp started off smoothly/okay/alright. The views/scenery/panorama were killer/amazing/breathtaking, and the vibes/atmosphere/energy were totally chill/laid-back/super relaxed. I was ready to shred/catch some waves/ride the gnar. But, as any seasoned surfer knows, the ocean can be a fickle mistress. My first day went/turned/ended up surprisingly well/a total disaster. I was/They were/We were all having Costa Rica Surf Camp a blast until this one monster/gnarly/epic wave came crashing in. It slammed/tossed/dumped me hard/like a ton of bricks/with full force, and I spent the next few minutes/seconds/hours coughing up saltwater/spitting out sand/chasing bubbles.

If you're dreaming of catching some epic waves in Costa Rica, steer clear of "Camp Name Here" . This place is a total scam! They claim amazing surf lessons, but the truth are far from it. The teachers are unqualified, the equipment is ancient, and the accommodation is filthy. You'll be wasting your days than actually surfing. Do yourself a solid and go somewhere else.

I signed up for this Costa Rica surf camp thinking it would be a sweet experience, but let me tell you, it's been a total disaster. The waves are flat, the instructors are clueless, and the food is just disgusting.

  • I've been bitten by bugs more times than I can count
  • And the Wi-Fi is nonexistent

My Costa Rican Surf Trip Turned Into a Nightmare

I booked my vacation to Costa Rica months in preparation, stoked for some epic rides. I pictured myself riding gnarly sets and soaking up the sun on the beach.

Unfortunately, things became a disaster real fast. First, my plane got cancelled, leaving me sitting at the gate for hours.

Then, when I finally reached the beach, it was a madhouse. The waves were treacherous and full of people. To top it all off, I misplaced my board, which was a total downer.
